Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moor is an Hollywood actor and writer who has been recognized for her talents. Sagittarius born, Julianne Moore was born December 3, 1960 at North Carolina. She is one of the three youngest children of Peter Moore Smith and Anne Smith. Peter was a paratrooper. She is of English and Scottish ancestry. Due to her father's job the Moore family was often moved and she struggled to establish relationships or keep them. The family moved to Germany Moore went to Frankfurt American High School where she began appearing in performances. She graduated in 1983 with the BA in Fine Arts from Boston University. In Theater. Moore's career began in New York with Off-Broadway Theater following her graduation. Moore first appeared on the episode The Edge of Night, which was telecast on the network in 1985. In 1986, she played two roles as Frannie and Sabrina Hughes in As the World Turns. This was the show that became her break. The show aired until 1988, when she received the Daytime Emmy Award. In 1990, she made her debut in cinema through Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. She appeared in Short Cuts (1993) and 3 Women (1997) both produced by Robert Altman. The critically acclaimed performance of her in short-cuts (1993) was rewarded with several nominations. Moore played her first big part in Safe in 1995, a movie. Steven Spielberg, who was the director for Jurassic Park: The Lost World in 1997 and one of that year's biggest grossing movies, cast Moore as a lead actor. In 1999, she was a part of the critically acclaimed Magnolia and was awarded a SAG award for her role. The Hours, a 2002 film that she co-starred in alongside Nicole Kidman and Meryl Strreep received nominations for nine Academy Awards. Moore was also in The Forgotten (2003), Freedomland (2005), Shelter (2010) along with a host of others. Non-Stop was her film of 2014. Moore has been featured in many movies and television shows. She has starred in several films and television programs. She was most recently seen in In When You Finish Save the World 2022. Moore is a successful actor and author she has also made her private life known to the world. In 1984, she got married to John Robin and in 1995 they divorced. She has two kids and a son with Bart Freundlich whom she later got married in 2003. Moore's life revolves around her colleagues, friends and family.
